• Toronto Academy Honours Night (17 photo)
  Oral Health was delighted to be part of a very special evening as the Toronto Academy of Dentistry celebrated their annual Honours Night. It was a wonderful opportunity to see old friends and make new ones as the Academy honoured members of the profession. In particular, we were very pleased to see our Senior Publisher, Melissa Summerfield, accept the Industry Service Award from the Academy. Congratulations to all the honourees!
  
  
• 2008 Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc. Hands On Training on Materials & Lasers (1 photo)
  Ivoclar was happy to host an event in Amherst NY on Wednesday, Feb. 13th. The George Brown College Restorative Hygienist students were some of the attendees at this event.

  Oral Health recently enjoyed a tour of Ivoclar Vivadent, in Amherst, New York. Join us for a look at their fabulous facility!
  
  
• 2006 Editorial Board Christmas Party (10 photos)
  "Tis the season to be jolly!" As you can see from these pictures, the Editorial Board of Oral Health celebrated the holidays in style, with great food and good friends! We wish all of our readers the very best over the holiday season and we look forward to another great year ahead in 2007!
  
  
• The 2007 International Academy Dental Facial Esthetics (13 photos)
  On Monday November 27th, the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics welcomed 38 new members into Fellowship. The Academy is pleased to have inducted members from France, Greece, India, Italy, United Kingdom, Peru, Canada and the US. New Fellows and IADFE members were treated to a lecture by Dr Albert Lefkovits on the dermatologists approach to facial esthetics. The induction ceremony was followed by a wonderful dinner at the Harmonie Club, in New York. As you can see, a great time was had by all!
  
  
• The 82nd Annual Greater New York Dental Meeting (12 photos)
  The 82nd Annual Greater New York Dental Meeting was a resounding success! The meeting welcomed over 50,000 health care professionals from all over the world and there was certainly lots to see and do! With over 1500 technical exhibits, the exhibit floor featured the newest technologies and products for the dental profession. There was an unparalleled educational program, offering attendees a variety of seminars, lectures, demonstrations and hands-on clinics. As always, the GNYDM offered exhibitors and attendees a warm welcome indeed.
  
  
• The 2006 Toronto Academy of Dentistry Winter Clinic Meeting (40 photos)
  The Toronto Academy of Dentistry Winter Clinic, held in Toronto, Ontario on November 10th, 2006, was a resounding success! Attendance was up in all categories this year, with 1,022 dentists, 502 hygienists and 791 assistants and office staff attending this event. The number of exhibiting companies was also up, 147 this year as compared to 139 last year. The Fashion Show featured many lovely items, from companies such as Roma Furs, Sfarzo for Men, The Irish Shop and many other fine retailers. Winter Clinic Chair-Dr.Flavio Turchet and his Committee deserve thanks and congratulations for doing such a wonderful job with this year's meeting! • 2006 Halloween Party & Open House (12 photos)
  A scarily good time was had by all at the Halloween Party/Open House held on Thursday, October 26th at the new offices of "Endodontic Specialists".
  
  
• The 147th Annual Session of the ADA Convention (24 photos)
  The theme for the 147th Annual Session of the ADA was "be part of the excitement".  Over 700 exhibitors filled the Dental Marketplace with great new products-check it out!
  
  
• The 147th Annual Session of the ADA Convention Part II (15 photos)
  The 147th Annual Session of the ADA, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, offered many great moments of excitement and camaraderie. Check out these pictures from the "Distinguished Speaker Series" sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, featuring Sir Richard Branson and Ted Koppel. There was also a thrilling magic presentation from local headliner, Rick Thomas. We also enjoyed meeting friends at a cocktail party event for the National Children's Dental Foundation.
